Squamish Valley Music Festival: What happened?
The organizers of the Squamish Valley Music Festival announced this week that the event scheduled for this coming August was being cancelled. By all indications — including the festival’s website, Facebook page and Twitter account being taken down — the odds of the event returning at some point in the future are very low, if not entirely non-existent. (It is worth remembering that after the “first Pemberton Festival” in 2008, promoters Live Nation quickly talked a big game about bringing back the event. For Squamish, crickets.)
